Lighting Transforms Your Outdoor Landscape Designs | Olney MD

Feb 3, 2014 | Gardens, Lawns

When making your yard look elegant and beautiful, landscape lights are essential. Not only does lighting make your area safer, lighting transforms your outdoor landscape designs into a place that has more elegance and charm. We can help you with the ideas you have in mind for making your yard beautiful, classy and safe.

Here are a few ideas you might want to consider in transforming your existing landscaping:

Pathways can be illuminated for aesthetic value and for safety. Lighting should never be too harsh but soft, glowing pathway lights not only make it easier to see where you are walking but they also give your pathway an elegant look that is timeless. There are a variety of pathway lights you can choose from and it all depends on your own personal preference.

Patios and Decks.

Patio and decks are perfect for illuminating with landscape lighting. Whether you want a brightly lit area that you can enjoy day or night, or simply want to enhance the area, making it a serene and peaceful place to sit, uplighting, accent lighting and task lighting are all perfect choices. Entry Ways. Whether you have a side, back or front door you want lit up, you can add lights on each side, near the top or uplighting at the bottom of your entry way to enhance your entrance.

Deck stairs and walkway steps are made safer and more appealing by adding lights in the risers or the treads. If you do not want to add lights to treads or risers you can instead add accent lighting near the steps to make them safer to use and showcase your walkway. No matter what area you want to enhance your landscape, lighting can help your ideas become even more beautiful.
