Variations in Patio Construction for the Ideal Finished Project | Olney, MD

Apr 25, 2014 | Patios

Getting a patio designed in your backyard is an excellent way to make the most of the space that you have available and can help ensure that you’re going to be able to have a space that you enjoy spending time in. Whether you intend on using your patio for gardening or you like to entertain friends, it’s helpful to look into your options for patio construction since you’ll likely find many choices that stand out in terms of durability, style, and price.

Brick Patio

A classic style that works for both older and newer homes is brick laid patios. Bricks are now available in a variety of colors, ranging from neutral beige to bright red, allowing you to choose the bricks that will flatter your landscaping the most.

Natural Stone

Whether your backyard has tropical landscaping or is very simple in design, natural stone could be exactly what you’re looking for. With so many choices of stones that could be used for patios, it makes sense that it remains a great option for homeowners that want a natural look which still looks impressive.

Cement

While it may not be as attractive as some of the other options for patio construction, cement can be an ideal choice if you need to save money when getting a patio built. Depending on the square footage of your new patio, you could be worried about how much money it will cost to get a patio built. Cement makes it easy and affordable for you to get a large patio that you can enjoy throughout the year without spending a lot of money in the process.
